Occupational Therapy at Home in Research

We visit adults and children at home across Research (3095) and the wider Shire of Nillumbik. Nillumbik's semi-rural suburbs have larger blocks, sloping land, long driveways and plenty of bushland.

Outdoor access, getting safely to and from the car and planning ahead for high fire-danger days are common parts of our OT work in Nillumbik.

Coming home from the Bundoora Centre or the Austin Hospital? Our OT can check home safety, equipment and daily routines so you settle back in safely.

Exercare's occupational therapists help adults, older people and children do more for themselves at home and in the community. We have no waitlist and we work with NDIS participants and Support at Home clients in Research.

Adults

Adult Occupational Therapy in Research

Most of the people we see in Research are adults. We help with personal care, cooking and home tasks, routines and memory supports, fatigue management, community access, returning to work or study and home safety.

Example: A 31-year-old in Research needs a functional capacity assessment before an NDIS plan reassessment. Our OT completes the assessment at home over three visits and delivers an NDIS-ready report within two weeks.
